Gyro-Core and Prismaridescent Essence Information
Tier 4 (MMM) armor is made using a Gyro Core Embedder (container, ~1800p cost) + Gyro-Core + the Tier 2 armor or the vendor template bought (26kpp up to 36kpp) from the Ak'anon Strike Force vendor. Each Gyro-Core has a specific slot it is set for, and two specific classes. Tier 5 (Crystallos) armor is made using a Prismaridescent Essence + the Tier 4 Armor + a Prismaridescent Essence Grafter (container, ~2800p cost.)
However, the two classes on the Core are not "set in stone." You can turn any Core into one for your class using a "Core Gear Kit" for your class and a "Gyro-Core Re-gearing Kit." With the appropriate Core Gear Kit, you put that plus the Gyro Core into the Gyro-Core Re-gearing Kit, and a Gyro Core for your class is produced. The cost of this is:
- Core Gear Kit - 9999p
- Gyro Core Re-gearing Kit - 19999p
These are sold from the Ak'anon strike force vendors in Dragonscale Hills.
For the Prismaridescent Essences, you can additionally make Gyro-Cores from the Prismaridescent Essences, this essentially is "downgrading" a Crystallos drop into a Tier 4 Drop. The process for doing this is to combine an inert core (purchased, cheap), a "Core Gear Kit" for your class (9999p), a Prismaridescent Essence, in a Gyro Core Re-gearing Kit (19999p).

Gyro-Core and Prismaridescent Essence Bidding Rules
With all the above in mind, we will be allowing people to bid on Gyro Cores that are not for their class, and we will be allowing people to bid on Prismaridescent Essences for the purposes of downgrading the Essence to a Gyro Core. We will give no special preferences or priorities to any bidders in Core or Essence Auctions.
The way we will run these auctions:
- All the Cores or Essences are grouped together in a Top 2 (or 3 etc if anything drops more than 2) auction
- For Cores, the Top Bidder gets their choice of core. For example if a Gyro Core: Martialism (WAR ROG) and Gyro Core: Consort (MAG BST) drop, and the Top Bidder is a WAR and the 2nd place bidder is a ROG, the WAR would predictably select the Martialism core in order to avoid paying the platinum cost of re-coring. At this point the 2nd place ROG has the option to either take the Consort core, or pass to the next lowest bidder. We are allowing this due to the fact we understand some people will only be bidding with an interest to getting their class specific core, as opposed to being willing to pay a re-coring cost.
- Top Bidder is defined with this hierarchy: Whoever is paying the most DKP is always the Top Bidder, if the top 2 are both paying the same DKP price, the bidder with the highest current total is the Top Bidder. If they have the same current total they have to roll off for Top Bidder privileges.
